Situated in the heart of Tennessee, the charming city of Cordova is a picturesque destination that offers a tranquil setting perfect for outdoor exploration. One of the top outdoor attractions in the area is Nashoba Park, an urban-style park that provides visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature in a rapid and convenient manner. With its unique feature of offering both wildlife and wildlife-viewing opportunities, as well as a variety of outdoor activities, Nashoba Park has attracted over the years a loyal fan base of both locals and visitors alike. This article will provide a detailed view of the park and its features, giving you a glimpse of what the park has to offer. Information can be found here.

The park, originally known as “Pigeon Creek Park”, was created out of a swamp in the early 1970s. It was intended to provide a recreational area to serve as a buffer between recreational users and the nearby Wolf River. A few years later, the park was renamed Nashoba Park and has since become one of the most popular parks in the area. Nashoba Park is made up of two sections: the wetlands section and the wooded area. The wooded area, which is accessible via a walking path, is made up of mostly hardwood trees and features a variety of wildlife like foxes, rabbits, and deer. The wetlands, which cover 7 acres, are made up of a variety of marshes and wetlands and are home to a wide variety of birds, amphibians, and fish. The park also offers an array of outdoor activities. With the surrounding forest and wetlands, visitors can choose from a range of activities such as fishing, boating, motorbiking, kayaking, and hiking. Additionally, there is an observatory where visitors can view the stars and an interactive nature center that hosts educational programs and other events.
